Meet the Team

  • Intern

    Maia Archer is a graduate student at George Washington University studying for a Masters of Public Health in Health Promotion. For BRIDGE, alongside Dr. Nwaozuru from Wake Forest University, she is assisting with a scoping review assessing long-acting injectables for HIV treatment in Sub-Saharan Africa.

    Dr. Nathan is an Assistant Lecturer in Pharmacy at Victoria University's School of Health Sciences and a noted Ugandan global health researcher with over 30 peer-reviewed publications. He serves on the editorial board of ACTA Scientific International Open Library, reviews for Frontiers in Public Health and JAC-AMR. His is an active member of the Alliance for the Prudent Use of Antibiotics (APUA), the Global AMR Multi-Stakeholders’ Platform, and the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease.

    Dr Innocent H. Peter Uggh is a medical doctor and a research scientist working at Kilimanjaro Clinical Research Institute in Tanzania on capacitating young oncology researchers and generating high-quality data to inform policies and decision-making in addressing healthcare disparities in lower-middle income countries.

    Lucky Rapando is a public policy and administration graduate from Kenyatta University. With experience in data analysis and program support, he is passionate about international development. His specialties include engaging partners, facilitating training, managing social media, and generating activity reports in policy and governance. Currently, he is in an AI governance fellowship with Equiano.

    Rodrigue Ndabashinze, a Burundian medical doctor, holds a Master's in Global Health and Infectious Diseases from Moi University and is pursuing a Master's in Epidemiology at the University of Antwerp. He provides technical assistance to the Imprima project on primaquine implementation in Africa. Rodrigue is joining the Bridge Africa research lab to enhance his skills in implementation research for advancing healthcare in Africa.

    Mlemile Stephen is a skilled medical laboratory scientist, public health specialist, and deputy principal of academics and research at City College of Health and Allied Sciences-Mwanza Campus. He shapes the institution's educational and research landscape, as he is experienced in research design, proposal preparation, data collection, and report writing in infectious diseases and AMR. He joins BRIDGE Africa as an intern research scientist to bridge research and implementation, translating findings into practical healthcare solutions.
